About the company

The company is Dutch based and has build and maintains an international multisided platform to connect airport services across the world and sell these services to airport travelers. The company employs 120+ people and is growing fast, year on year (Y2Y) basis 50+%. They have the financial resources to extend services on the platform and invest in new.
Currently the company employs 20+ different nationalities which makes it cultural divers.
They introduced a microservices strategy and are currently delivering on this. Using Google Cloud and Kubernetes to ensure smooth Tech operations and scale the platform to new countries and continents. In collaboration with the DevOps team processes, applications and infrastructure is continuously optimized.

About the Software Development team
The total software development team is 35+ engineers and growing. Engineers work partly remote and partly from the office (hybrid). Following the microservices strategy the company has engineering organized in different teams. Each team consisting of several software engineers (depending on the focus frontend engineers, backend engineers or full stack) a productowner, a Q&A and an engineering lead.

They would like to expand their tech team responsible for offering the best deal to customers.
This remote team with frontend engineers (mid level and senior+), a product owner and Engineering Team lead is responsible for improving conversion rates of booking pages. Creating customers from visitor streams. They do that by creating great user experiences and learn by continuous experimentation.

The SEO front end developers colloborate with stakeholders from the Digital marketing team to optimize the search engine frendliness of the technical side of pages, url structure etc. to drive more traffic to different landingpages. Conversion rate optimisation by using A/B testing is done by the CRO team.

Further the team is in a position to influence (coach and advise) other cross functional teams on improving for conversion. The team works according to the scrum-cycle and handels building new functionality, extending existing functionality, bugfixing, refactoring and redesign.
The client works with a microservices architecture to run all applications smoothly and scale. There is a separate DevOps team to continuously refine processes, applications and (cloud) infrastructure.
The team is coached by an experienced engineering lead. All teams are headed by an experienced Head of engineering with long experience in leading remote teams and technically scaling platforms.

About you
We are looking for senior frontend developers.
You have a strong understanding of web page performance (eg optimizing loading times), accessibility and user experience. Preferably you have worked at e-commerce platforms before and you understand how continuous learning helps you and your team to improve the conversion rate of the booking pages.
Depending on your experience and skills you can be asked to provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers. Our client expects you to work independently on small projects, influence technical decisions across teams with your insights and (strong) arguments.

Further we love proactive behavior identifying risks, proposing improvements (preferably upfront) and when necessary identify, prioritize and solve high impact problems.

What is important besides your technical expertise is your soft skills. Your level of English conversation is intermediate+. You need to be able to discuss in English your ideas, proposals with the development team and stakeholders. You are easy in connecting and collaborating with other team members.

We are looking for SEO minded Frontend developers who can work disciplined, remotely on frontend tasks helping the company be more visible in searchengines. You ask the right questions to build the right pages/features.

We are looking for Senior+ Frontend developer or full stack developer who can work independently on a remote basis on tasks. You are well in explaining technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders. You have experience working remote in English speaking teams.
During the proces you have the opportunity to show your expertise via a Tech assignment and get feedback on the work you delivered.

1+ year contract (we are looking for fulltime hire for the long term).
