About the company

The company is a Dutch e-commerce company. They build and maintain an online platform to connect to airport services across the world and sell these services to airport travelers. The company employs 70+ people and is growing fast, year on year (Y2Y) basis 50%. They are active in the Netherlands, Germany, France,  Belgium,  Spain, Sweden, Italy, the United States and Australia. They have the financial resources to extend services on the platform and invest in new markets.

They currently work with a development team of 25+ developers partly remote and partly from the office. The development team consists of 10+ backend developers with laravel, node.js and microservices experience and full stack laravel / Vue developers. The frontend team consist of 10+Vue/Nuxt developers. Besides the team has 3 Q&A’s and a productowner (PO).

They would like to expand their remote development team further and are looking for experienced QA engineers. The team works according to the scrum-cycle and handels building new functionality, extending existing functionality, bugfixing, refactoring and redesign. Currently they are in the middle of the transformation to microservices. The team is coached by a highly experienced CTO in leading remote tech teams and technically scaling ecommerce platforms.
On the platform different modules and their front-ends needs to be developed and/or refactured. Example of modules are pricing-yield module, payment proces, administration, personal environment etc..

About you

The company is a fan of testing and try to cover their platform as much as possible using multiple layers of testing (Unit, Integration & E2E). There aim is to run these tests in an automated CI/CD pipeline.They reviewed their testing processes and are now searching for candidaated to help them shape these new QA processes.
We are looking for medior to senior QA engineers with strong experience in setting up Test scenario’s,  refinements of user stories, agile testing processes and procedures and manual testing.


As a QA engineer you collaborate closely with the productowner and the development team to ensure the delivery of a quality end product via a the scrum cycle. Whether it is about setting up user stories and refinements, about sprintplanning, DOD’s and writing the right testscenario’s to test the work of the team, you make sure quality is at the heart of the development processes to deliver a good, reliable end product.

This means you work handson, with clear defect registration and a neat description of your findings.

You understand how developers think and act when QA procedures needs to be full filled. And you can help them understand and achieve a better, more reliable  performance of the code they deliver. This requires  patience, staying calm but steady in the quality that needs to be delivered.
You have a structured way of working, commit to high standards but you always have an eye for the team and help them adjust their working processes to ensure testing processes will be successfull.

We are only interested in experienced QA ’s with experience in manual testing, coaching developers and working with complex platforms. you are interested to acquire knowledge about the company processes (end to end) and explain about this to developers.

You connect easily with developers and understand their way of working and can coach how to optimize quality of coding by testing. You are experienced in working remote in English speaking teams. You know you better communicate too much than too little, with your team, to increase quality of the platform.

Contract
